I found this one interesting. It is a very common variety, but a very late die state. I picked it up for $90, felt high to me, but looking at many that have sold, figured it was actually an ok price, and I wanted it and it was in my limited price range.
The number of die cracks in this coin is nuts, not to mention the rim
Cud. Most cracks you can see in the reverse pic. Some are more difficult to see. I've included pics of a very high grade example for comparative reference.
None of the other examples I've seen have obverse die cracks, other than this high grade comparative example below that has a small crack traversing from rim through the "1" in the date and then to the left, and my copy, which has the same crack though very faint. This copy also appears to have a crack coming from the bottom of Liberty and down to the left above the "8."
On the reverse, I noticed one other die crack that I've not noticed on other examples, and that is the small one coming from the rim into the "C" of America and and then jigging to the right and continuing from the bottom of the C into the leaf.
I did notice on a few other examples where the "1" in the fraction is similarly very weak.
I do plan a non aggressive approach to the verdigris. Also, this coin is brown, but I played with contrast and brightness to better show the parts of interest.
Overall, I figure about G4/6details ED, reverse better than obverse. What say you, CCF community?

!! COIN BELOW IS NOT MINE AND FOR COMPARISON ONLY !!
