1994 Jefferson - Rockwell Hardness Test Marks?

gschmidtjd Valued Member United States 51 Posts	Posted 09/27/2023 10:39 am I am a relatively new to coin collecting and am new to this forum. Does anyone have any idea what these marks are on this nickel? I think these may be Rockwell hardness test marks, but am not sure. The bumps do go all the way through the coin. I believe they are conducted in the fields of the dies or coins to get accurate results. They wouldn't be as large as these appear to be. Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
