1989 D Lincoln Cent - Double Die Or Machine Doubling?

Again, I am new to coin collecting, so please be patient.

Any thoughts on the doubling on the "989" on this penny, is it just Machine Doubling? The 8 looks particularly doubled and does not appear to be incuse.

I would say "MD" Machine Doubling.

Would it be the same thing on this 1966? I am looking at the little bar inside the loop of the 9.

Die Deterioration Doubling on your first coin and maybe Die Deterioration Doubling, on your second coin.

Agree DDD on the first, but lighting angle makes it difficut to evaluate the second.
