I have tried to research this coin/medal/token to no avail. I am seeking help in identifying what this is.
I think it has something to do with the Social Security act of 1935, but have no idea who made it and for what purpose.

The coin appears to be brass? No date on the coin. Best photo's I can get.
Any information is greatly appreciated!! RK

Most likely from the early days following passage of the Social Security Act. The bar on the obverse allowed a person to engrave their SSN on it.

It's not a coin, it's a medal.

Good speculation that it might have been privately issued sometime after social security came to be.
