1984 Lincoln Penny With Possible Mint Error Or Zinc Bubble

cuznTJ New Member United States 1 Posts	Posted 09/29/2023 8:55 pm So, here is one of my amateurish questions...I am pretty sure (based on other people telling me as much) that this coin was caught in some sort of a machine (dryer perhaps?) That said, I don't think the dryer or whatever it was caused what, to me anyway, looks like a "T" underneath the "D" mint mark of this 1984 Lincoln Penny. I have had a couple say it is a zinc bubble and others say it is definitely a "T" Report this Post to the Staff

Second, I agree with @hondo that your cent has been mechanically damaged, such as from being a dryer cent but also has a plating bubble next to the mintmark. Likely you can flatten this vaguely T-shaped bubble with the tip of a wooden toothpick.
