I was going back through all my 1957 cents after remembering that I had a die chip date in a 2x2 somewhere. Here it is with not only a die chip on both the 5, but on the 9 as well.. I remembered seeing a 57 D with die chips on the Vista DDO list so I looked again. I really think this is 1957 D DDO-013. I am going to try to attach the link, but I doubt it will work. There is also a RPM listed for this cent, but I haven't verified it yet. Thank you for your opinion..

Not seeing DDO, just typical die chips in the date.

Very nice DDO. I have been meaning to do a study of these as I have a few different types.

Yours are similar to 009 and 012, but the MM on yours is lower, and neither 009 or 012 have stages with die chips. Here are 009 and 012 for reference:

I recommend looking through the other DDOs on VV to see if you can find a match.,

Thanks Tacc .That's what I see. It's subtle, but it's there. When reading the attributes. It looks like a match, but I've wrong a lot.

The die chip is what made me consider that it was DDO-013. I had already seen the slight spread...When I saw the other die chip, I thought maybe I better wait to post it. Thanks again for the help and advice.

Yes, I concur, DDO-013. Good attribution, and congrats on the find.

jfeed,
It does look like 013,but I suggest you research all three sites and come to a conclusion. Just to be clear for newbies: you need to find the doubled die first and then try to match die markers not the other way around.

Nice find. The DDs on the 57s are sometimes hard to see if the coin isn't BU. And I think it's an RPM.

The photos show some indication of a minor rotated RPM, but the DDO-013 photos of 3 different stages of this die don't really show any doubling. I think it's probably a trick of the lighting.

I don't have any trouble seeing the DD on this coin or the pictures on VV. Look at the RTY. It's there.
