What went on with this one. Also some sort of damage to the top of T & E in states.
Do I toss this or spend it

It is actually called a Roosevelt dime. Top of TE is damage because it looks like it was made into a stick pin or something like that. So basically, it is PMD and only worth melt value.Also best to properly crop photos before posting them.

Agreed with the comments. PMD, but don't spend it! It's 90% silver, so it's worth silver melt value.

Sure it's silver, but what makes it really worth keeping is the novelty aspect of it. You can show it to a friend and ask them, "So, what do you think this looks like? Three guesses." If they correctly answer "lapel pin," you agree to buy them an order of fries at Mickey D's.
