I'd say it is. Probably depends on your expectations.

Why wouldn't it be? That's like a baseball fan who is going to be near Cooperstown, NY asking if it's worth going to the Hall of Fame.

If you have the time, go for it! It sounds exciting! And take photos and share them here!

@russ, some of the advice in this old CCF thread might be dated, but this should be of some interest:

During your tour, when you visit the die-making area, please corner the foreman and demand to know why only Philadelphia nickels have lines-in-doors doubling. Denver's secret must be made known to the world!

Honestly though, you should also put the natural history museum on your itinerary. It isn't as impressive as the Smithsonian, but it's a pleasant afternoon.

Yes. I posted a video and an app in a lower post here in the same thread for the philadelphia mint tour for those who can't go in real life. http://goccf.com/t/447895#3860207 ,

Perhaps you could film the trip...vacation style.. .

You have to get tickets for the tours, they only do 6 tours a day at specific times, photos are not allowed. I would review the rules list on the US Mint website for the Denver tours.
