Out of all of my large Canadian pennies, this 1859 always stands out as being a little unusual. The overall color appears more black as opposed to a brown/copper color. And popping out through the black are areas of yellow/gold color. I have also done the "drop" test on ceramic tile and it definetely has a different ring to it compared with an identical year coin.
Of course I foresee many replies "send it out to be graded!", but some opinions to build the excitement ahead of time would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I see a horribly cleaned and well circulated coin. Why would this be of any particular interest to a collector?

It looks like your coin was plated or covered with a different metal. It is not a brass cent. It has been heavily heavily cleaned, almost looking in some places like a file. There looks to be a couple spots where there was lacquer or wax. All you have is PMD.
