When I lay out all my stacks from CRH, I have a special pile for damaged and filthy coins. Tonight I was about to toss them in the wrapping jar, and I thought what the heck, let's look at the doors. Sure enough, I found a 2020 WDDR line-in-the-door coin. Might soak this banged up Jeff in some acetone, but I kinda like the "patina" and character.

I've looked at several "line in the door" posts and never see what the heck they're talking about. Is the line usually in about the same location?

The doubling line is usually along the inside edge of the door frame. This one is top left, running about halfway across the top. Occasionally the triangle or other features are doubled instead.

Well, I went through the Wexler DDR catalog on BVC, but I didn't find any good matches. WDDR-033 is about the closest to this nickel, and it's not that close.

The CONECA catalog stops at 2019, but I did find VDDR-003 on Variety Vista that seems like a decent match:
