Hoping this helps from the locked post. I tried to call a local coin shop but the guy seemed to have a real bad attitude. Just wanted him to look at it. The front is fairly normal but the reverse is mirrored and embedded.

pics too large to see whole coin, why are you showing a reversed image?

can you back off of the coin a little so we can see the entire thing?

A picture of the edge would be helpful.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Well your images are 2200 pixels wide - way too big to display the coin. So I took your second image and re-sized it to 800 pixels and mirrored it. Now it look very normal.

ah, thank you Dearborn, I see what might be a tiny bit of die misalignment, otherwise looks like a typical cent for the date

Nick10, the mirrored image is suppose to be the "tails" side. It's an embedded print of the front side. The edges look double stamped also. I found this one as a kid digging in the backyard along with several wheat pennies, one is a 1909. Just now looking at the coins. I might try to sell some along with Indian Head cents and others.

Thanks Dearborn, trying to figure out how to get the download size down. They wouldn't upload from the regular camera pics

Just get the images into a computer, then open the files using the default windows image viewing app and right click over the image and you should see "resize image" just change the numbers to a max of 800 pixels. (I use 600 for mine)

I hope you are able to get us and image of both sides of the entire coin without cutting off the edges - this is important in order for us to help you.

I don't own a computer. Just a phone, that's the bad. That's why I was going to try to take it to a coin shop until he said he wasn't interested in looking at it. I was going to drive there with about 30-40 coins to start with. I'll try to do something with a friends computer

This is pretty confusing. A reversed image. More pictures would help.
Errers and Varietys.
