Looks like the doubled ear but the rest of the coin is yucky!

numismo, at times it appears to be normal, sometimes doubled. Could just be the picture, I just don't see the separation between the lobes on the ear. If it matches the picture below, you've got it.

numismo, I was hoping for a few more opinions on this one. On the first set of pictures, I couldn't fine a clear separation line and with the close up it appears you could drive a Mac truck through that valley. First thought, a severe hit that flattened out the lower part of earlobe. Lets try for a die marker. Does your coin have this die chip between the D and W on the motto?

MorgansRmine, first of all thank you for helping with this coin. Always glad to get an opinion from someone with more savvy and probably better eyes than I have. I don't know if it shows it in this picture, but the coin does have a series of chips between the D and W like the coppercoins' site shows.

I agree, doubled ear but the area shows damage as well.
