maybe some split plating around the date, need higher resolution photos of that area

Agree w/ other but it appears your coin has a MAD aka Misaligned Die on the obverse.

No. It's damage. This zincoln will start to rot in this area. The zinc is exposed to air and will disintegrate with time.
