You aren't going to be a fan buying coins in this condition.

Didn't buy it, it was given to me. I would never, ever buy a Morgan as stated.

Atleast it's a better date, I wonder why the person didn't get the memo about your fondness of Morgans

for the most part yes. however you can even have MS coins exhibiting a larger amount of marks from banging around and rubbing against other coins when bagged. in this particular case the overall look of the coin appears to have been rubbed with something a little abrasive that removed the original skin from the surfaces. the dullness of the toning from K3-K6 along the rim should not be spotty like that. there are halos around the stars in that area which would not normal if it was untouched. look a the scratches around the back of the hair wrapping around the bottom (noted with the arrows) the scratches in this area seem to wrap around the devices. this is not normal and looks like it was swiped curving around them

hope that helps. determining if a coin was cleaned takes years of experience looking at coins and understanding the different ways a coin can be cleaned. there are lot of videos and papers on this subject. one of the easiest ways to learn more is search ebay sales for details coins and see if you can figure out why it received the designation. there are several areas on both sides that are leading to a cleaning these are the ones that stand out

here is a link to a PCGS grading video talking about it
