Can somebody explain if this is just a medal or a Portugal coin ?

since I'm not able to find it on Krause, but I found somebody selling it on e.bay

Listed in Unusual World Coins as X#21. 16.5g CN, 34mm. Mintage 40,000 $9 in BU.

Private issue token/medal/pattern, not a coin.

Not a coin. Then again, this medal was apparently produced by the Portuguese mint (see the "INCM" mark). Some more info is here http://www.forum-numismatica.com/vi...f=12&t=25654

If you are interested in Henry the Navigator coins instead, have a look at these pieces:

Although the second piece does not exactly feature what I would call a portrait ...
