I see those 96 ASE pop up at auction a lot with "KEY DATE" in quotes. Still kind of confused why this one is considered key. 3.6 million mintage is a lot. They usually go for the same price as normal bullion common date ASE coins. Sure, it's 1 million below your normal common mintage, but what's 1 million less at 3.6 mil. Seems to me to be plenty for everyone on a collectors standpoint.
