This has got me stumped? I need some help to identify this coin. First I thought it was dirty or a stain. But now I know that it is not. Could it be PMD? Thanks for the help fellas. Thanks os much for all the knowledge. I'm learning something new.

Here you go. I appreciate the feedback. Its not a stain I washed it with soap and water. It seems like a mirror finish in that area. It seems like the top layers have been peeled of some sort.

perhaps there had been some glue stuck in that area that has since come off

Either glue or tape. Soak it in acetone, see if it comes off.
