Hello all,
I was just wondering if all VAMs bring some sort of premium? Going through my Dansco's I have been finding I have quite a few minor varieties, mainly slightly doubled dates. Can I expect to get an extra buck or two out of those, or does it just depend on the buyer?
Thanks!
Jordan

No most varieties do not bring a premium to the coin at all

I see...
How do you know which ones will?
To me, the ones with one number in the date that shows minimal doubling, whoop-de-doo.
But the 1878 7/8 (5) That I found with doubling on the stars, E PLUR, and LIBERTY is pretty neat and I feel it should bring some premium.

Well I am not sure about all the other coins but I do know that to get a real good premium for a morgan it needs to be either a HOT-50 or TOP-100 coin. I dont know if every coin has a catagory like this or not, I havent studied any other coins besides the morgans yet. I will venture out to other types of coins once I have atleast one of my morgan sets complete

This is my set of date/mint morgans (mostly MS-64's)http://www.collectors-society.com/r...eSetID=14566

and this is the set I am trying to finish first before I start back on the date/mint set http://www.collectors-society.com/r...eSetID=19238

I already have the VAM-70 (TOP-100) and VAM-79 (HOT-50) and am waiting on a VAM-81 that a guy said he knew where was at then my B1 reverse set will be finished. Then I will just upgrade when available

Wow... quite nice
I am impressed...
Are you going to settle for the keys? Or try to keep up with the rest?

I am pretty happy with my collection thus far considering I have only been collecting any coins for about 8 months. When I add my last 3 buys to the B1 reverse set(sone have to be crossed from ANACS slabs) I will be in the #1 position for that set which tickles me pink (as my grandmother would say). I will never be close to even the top 60 on the date/mint set but if I can get one of each date/mint I will be happy, but I think there may be a few of them I never in my life will aquire for my set. Atleast my B1 set will be a full set (when I am finished with it) and an accomplishment I never thought I would acheive 8 months ago. I think I have done pretty good since all my coins are 100% internet auction wins. I am also always looking for upgrades on both sets, when I aquire a upgrade I sell off the one it replaced
