1884-CC Morgan Dollar VAM-7?

I know I have shown this morgan before on here but today I got my loupe out and started looking at it again. I noticed a strong doubling on the first 8 and went the book to see if it was anything and I think it may be a VAM-7 I was wondering what you all think

I think you're right on the money. Look for the mintmark to have a left tilt. Surprisingly, it doesn't command much of a premium, considering it's a naked-eye double (at least for the young folks).

oh yeah and to let you all know that guessed the grade on this 1884-CC it graded at PCGS as MS-64PL

Yeah, like that.

Heritage has records of an MS66, and MS64 & MS65 DMPL's of this VAM. That indicates they're available in nice condition, which would explain the relatively low premium.

None of that changes the fact that you're holding an extremely nice coin there.
