livingwater Pillar of the Community United States 2213 Posts	Posted 11/07/2023 1:20 pm Dark spots, dings, scratches, circulation wear, toning are common on old and newer coins, impossible to say what caused the spot on your Morgan, numerous things can cause dark spots.
