You should look a bit closer the tool line you think
You are perceiving are COATED by copper plating and you can see that clearly and weight is exact.2016-D-Planchet-Playing-Strike-Error?
And what is Lincoln doing on the back of a shielded penny?

How did PMD? Put Lincoln on the back of a shielded penny in between the columns so perfectly..why isn't the weight off

It's not an error. It's been damaged after it left the U.S Mint, sorry. This is impossible to happen in the minting process. I suggest studying about errors on error-ref.com and study the minting process. This will help you out. https://www.error-ref.com https://www.usmint.gov/learn/produc...n-production

to the CCF You've come to a great place to learn what errors and varieties are. We see these all the time here. One of the top 3 questions we get around here. As E&V stated, this is made by sanding off of the plating with a belt sander. There isn't enough sanded to effect the weight. As far as Lincoln on the reverse, that's where the coin pivoted when it was spun around. What is left is one of the bars in the shield.

There is nothing on the bar. It's called Pareidolia. The longer you look at something the more you start seeing things that aren't there. There is not enough ground off to effect the weight. How are you weighing it? And you need to start a new topic for your Two Cent Piece. It gets confusing with more than one coin in a topic.

Your cent is just damaged as stated, and Lincoln is not on the reverse. That is just part of the shield showing on the reverse. I like your Two Cent Piece though! You should start another thread and tell us about it.

The Lincoln Cent was damaged intentionally by sanding the very thin copper plating off.

Your 2 cent images should be in a topic of its own in the class US coin area. (nice looking coin though)
