My assumption is middle eastern based on characters. Found two of them side-by-side.

Montana Hondo - I've been on a foreign coin bender as of late. Pulled a 1900-1906 Guangxu 10 Cash out of the ground 10 days ago. That one can be easily explained by Chinese miners during the MT gold rush.

This one is the oddest foreign by far.

Very interesting! Probably not even on the list of coins you anticipated finding. At least there's a China to Montana connection. But Tunisia?

It's a popular holiday destination but you're not supposed to take their coins out of the country. When I was at Tunis Airport returning from my vacation in 2002, the customs official asked the guy in front of me if he had any coins, and made him empty his pocket and leave them behind! He didn't ask me, so I just walked through with mine.

Canadian coins are the only foreign expectation in my neck of the woods. I found a coin from Zaire over the summer, so the tally stands at two denominations from Africa so far. Just love the surprise of it.
