Hopefully these photos will suffice as my microscope happens to be on a boat bound for USA. Anyways I'm confident this one is a type 2 but as normal ready to hear the skepticism

*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. It's very important to have in the title. ***

I never heard of a 'type 2 1969 S' cent before. What are your references on this?
If you are referring to the 1969 S DDO, your coin is not it. The DDO is very obvious, (just like the 1955 DDO is)

A quick search turns up this store selling 69 type 2 cents.

https://www.lastdodo.com/en/items/2...969-s-type-2

They have an image showing the difference between type 1 and type 2 coins. It looks like double die is the type 2 and they will sell you one for 3 dollars euro.

Type 2 might be a designation used by those who are making and selling modern copies

You haven't mentioned a mint mark at all, as those are indeed classified as types.

You've mentioned doubling which has been classified as "classes" pretty much forever.

I guess you could be talking about a "class 2" doubled die? Maybe I be wrong, cuz I be just another dork I guess.
