2004 P 1DR-002, DDR-003, WDDR-005 (MDS) Another roll searching find today. CC- https://coppercoins.com/lincoln/die...ie_state=mdsVV- http://varietyvista.com/01c%20LC%20...3%20cent.htmDD- http://doubleddie.com/732834.htmlThis coin has some staining issues even though it's already gotten the acetone bath. Even so, it got my heart going because the thickness is pretty easy to see, especially on EPU and the dots. The thickness on USA is lighter than the big DDR, FS 801. I wish VV had images of markers and not just the thickness. This one is similar to the FS 801 and depending on the die state they were easily confused with each other. This coin has the markers as found on CC. The die dot between the EC (ONE CENT) and a die dot above the collar near the hairline. Enjoy and thanks for taking a peek. Nice find! I have not found a 2004 doubled die for quite some time, they used to pop up every now and then....

The 2004 looks like a DDR Were the full coin pics supposed to be of same coin? Or will you list the 2022 (20231124_2022p-nov18-newddr) on a separate post?

Interesting, and a nice find. =)
I wonder how the doubling formed? Did the hub twist or slide while engaged with the die?

At first I thought you accidentally typed IV instead of VI, but the Copper Coins listing is Class 4. That seems impossible, since 4 requires multiple hubbings and a 2004 coin would be single squeeze. There is an interesting discussion on Wexler about the existing of Offset doubled dies in the single squeeze era. http://doubleddie.com/203906.html

Well, Class 8 Tilted Hub makes a lot more sense than 4 Offset with only one hubbing. Even 6 Distended Hub seems plausible with single squeeze.
