It may be too far gone.
To my eyes, there is S C below maybe a horizontal scabbard or dagger, with perhaps E or M in the left field.
On the flip side, I have no idea.
I think it is destined for the Don't Know album

Any thoughts?

That is a tough one @ttk. On the rev though that looks a bit like a rendering of a thunderbolt. If I squint, then I might see an eagle on the obv. Maybe you have a coin of Hadrian there?

Thx for the praise @ttk. Figuring out what a coin might be is one of my favorite activities on this site. I used the keywords SC and THUNDERBOLT but then just flipped back and forth between here and acsearch until I found a rev that looked similar.
