Ran across this LWC tonight. I believe this is considered a woody, an inconsistently mixed alloy? I don't collect this type of coin and I'm not interested in purchasing it, and I have no idea whether ten bucks is a good price to woody aficionados. I'd just like to know whether I correctly identified this coin phenomenon.

Yes, it's a woody, and man, that reverse die must have been about ready for the trash pile.

Shame about the reverse damage, though.
