This is a recent splurge. The main reason for the purchase was the toning. From my research there are hardly any super toned coins from that run. I'm going through my highest graded coins and going to send a few back in for a chance at a plus grade. This is one of them. What would you grade it?

first don't look at the TV photos. almost all the time they are deceptive. I wish you had a better in hand photo of the reverse rather than that angle. the obv looks like a solid MS66 probably a +. the reverse is harder to call as its tough to see any marks under that toning. TPG's love that color and typically will bump the grade a tad for it.

i wouldnt resub just to try and get a + if you don't think it could a 67. i'd be more inclined to CAC it and look for a bean. in todays world that means more than a bumped grade.

it is a killer example and if that toning was also on the obv I would put a 67 on it

Imagine showing all 8 cert numbers so people can look it up

I'll say MS-67 if the slight scuff in front of the mouth is on the holder. Otherwise MS-66

I'll go with MS66. Agree with submit to CAC for a green bean - that would add more value than a + grade.

Thanks for the comments guys. This coin went MS67 CAC. It does have a small nick in the obverse field. I scanned through the 67 coins listed on coinfacts and all of them have a few minor dings. Even on the 67+ coins.
This is one of their better 67+ coins and it has a couple of bigger hits. https://www.pcgs.com/cert/37907633
So long story short this coin could jump almost $1000 with a plus grade. The cert number tells me it is a recently graded coin and has probably not been resubmitted for a plus grade.
I would post an in hand picture but I can't get the Pixar to work and have lost patience with it.
Here's the cert. https://www.pcgs.com/cert/47465284
It is in another person registry set but will be in mine in three days. Please check it out. I'm around 33% complete on my silver Washington quarter set. Adding a bunch soon.
