To more positively identify this, I would need to see both sides of the coin, but I can come up with a little from the lettering and the style.
It looks like a German states coin from the 1500's or 1600's. "SAX" probably indicates that it is from one of the Saxon states. "THUR" likely refers to Thuringia. I don't know for certain what "LANDG" refers to. "MARCHIO" is likely a title - Marquis. "MIS" is probably an abbreviation for another tiny region, but I'm not certain what it is. On a quick inspection of my reference, I didn't see anything exactly like this, but my reference only goes back to 1601. If you can give a description (design, lettering, especially date) of what is on the other side, or better yet, put up a photo, maybe I could figure out more about it.
I could be wrong on some of my guesses here; if anyone else has some information, please let us know.
