this coin was found in a roll from a bank box of cents. only 4 rolls checked so far. nothing of particular note yet. 1 Canadian (1971), and this coin. obviously from Panama, but I know nothing about the denominations, of relative values. your assistance is appreciated. thanks.

Copper-plated-zinc, mintage 180 million, my book says $0.50 in UNC.
Dates: 1996, 2001.

Interesting to note--this coin was struck in Canada on the same planchets as the Canadian cent from 1997-2003.

that is interesting. the coin seems slightly larger (diameter), and slightly thinner, than a Canadian coin.
