Pretty sure that is a WDDO-025 up for sale tonight. Still open for another hour, currently at $10.

I am by no means a variety ninja yet, but I think I spotted a DDO in the wild. Curved bottom tips of the IBE in Liberty. Elf boot E in We. Plump U and R in Trust. Super thick 9, and that weird notch above the crossbar at the outside edge of the 4. Plus the slanted base on each 4. Finally, that distinctive crooked D mint mark. Looks just like the first variety coin I ever found, minus all the wear.

Good identification?

Rather than links, It would be best if you showed the images here with comments and markings.

As you wish. I wanted to point it out promptly in case someone was in the market for a 1944-D 1c WDDO-025 in apparently nice condition. A comparison:

Ebay:-1944-D-LWC-WDDO-025?
Ebay:-1944-D-LWC-WDDO-025?
Ebay:-1944-D-LWC-WDDO-025?

No die crack in the hairline. This appears to be an earlier die state.

Definitely a DDO. Pretty nice one too! Might be WDDO-025 as you said.

Looks like they listed another one:

Just in case it wasn't clear, I am not pursuing this coin. If I run across a cool variety that I want, I will be keeping it to myself until it's mine or I lose the auction. =)

Yea the coin looks odd. I've gotten high dollar coins from that seller that come back cleaned upon submission. There's two parts to cherry-picking. One is find the coin you want. Two make sure it is high enough grade for the money and never buy a cleaned coin.
You are learning in the right place. This is where I gained most of my knowledge. You won't see me post much on here but I bet I have the best silver Washington quarter set on this forum (definitely best error set) and most of it was picked.

You most likely have a GREAT silver quarter collection - but the best? Hmm, I think that mine is way up there in the rankings as well..

I had wondered about that. This particular seller seems to sell a lot of coins, but he has also sold many bottles of MS-70 cleaner:

Another obvious example. Maybe this guy has a roll of them that he is selling one at a time?
