Tons of cartwheel luster, subtle orange-red toning, very strong eye appeal in hand.

What do you think?

MS-64RD is my guess. Lots of small marks on Lincoln.

some of those small ticks on the shoulder and lapel are die related. you see this is lot. I found a few 65's with some chatter but no 66's. another area which is typical on these is under the steps you sometimes see some marks or discoloration.

comparing this one to other 65's and 66's I'm at MS64RD

This coin only has 2 medium hits on it in the hair behind the neck and the nose. A few very minor distractions in the obverse fields. All the marks on the obverse high points are from residual planchet scratches where the striking failed to fully smooth them out. A very common occurrence in the 60's due to the massive production where the mints tended to keep the dies separated more to extend their life - an old minting trick.

The reverse is outstanding, fully struck and really clean columns, cornice and steps. Even the STATES and area below the steps is nicely formed for the 60's.

The various stain spots detract from the eye appeal (for most) but it has a nice orange color that's hard to notice in my pictures. I like it as a very solid 65.
