I have this 2008 Alaska Quarter which question me when I see the new era doubling almost post by Make and Pete

With no question it is an very, very early Die stage strike. The certificate state that it is one of the first acceptable strike.

I look at the CNC design and at the coin and something click as the letters are larger and rounded. Maybe an optical ilusion or missunderstanding about the new era doubbling.

In the photos is CNC Design as must be and rest this subjected coin

Sil, I cannot tell for sure from these pics but what I do see is consistent, in both the horizontal and vertical thickness. Most of your single squeeze doubled dies show distortion. Either thickness in the vertical or horizontal, not both. There are only doubled ears listed for this particular State Quarter but that does not mean there are not others out there. Clearer pics would help.

Most cannot see the doubling of many of the coins I post and I understand, if you do not search them, you don't know what normal looks like. Coinfrog.

Added: Sil, give me a few days and I'll start a thread. I will do a compilation of normal coins, beside single squeeze doubled dies of the same year. Some will be obvious and some not so much, but maybe this will help you and others see it better.

Thanks Make, I think I have to send you the coin to see. From this Die only 0.0134% of the Denver strike was done ( 34,132 coins) If it is something it is if not, not but sure must be annalize. To find a sister in the wilde will be very hard.

Sil, I just found this and was not even aware of this particular shield DDR. This is a good example of what I was talking about, with distortion. I have made a side by side comparison of a normal JM initials and the DDR, only listed by cc (2021P-1DR-001). The red arrows are showing the vertical thickness, the yellow arrows and circle are showing the horizontal normal look and the green arrows are showing the notching. Let me know if you can see the difference.

Thanks I am partially see. I will take same year coin an compare. You see more then me, I stop to study the coins production of the new era. I see about spread, but I have to see more to really understand the fact. I am the guy who want to understand the phisical effect also. For you it is easy, but for me at the start of the road it is not so. Thanks.

Appreciate 1000's time.

I will respond on this idea you give me very soon about what crazy thing I will look for in my Minting process.

MAKE, I promise and I do and CAD phisical molecular simulation of a single squeeze show me what it is. I will explain you by mail.

Had Down for you (Chapeaux) you to see how the single squeeze react. I will not put here all this small study, but you open my eye to something which make sense and I find three ways or dimmensions of those squeeze doublind. You will read and then please go ahead.

For all the others, Make is right and molecular physical squezeen is proven his way. Some new dimenssions him must look for but was right on one of them.
