Yeah no big deal really, in future posts about your coins,
maybe wait till you have the coin in hand, post good pictures
and be able to weigh the coin, instead of trying to speculate just from
photos you see on ebay...

I have truly checked hundreds of 1982-D small dates LMC's
and I made sure I checked all the necessary requirements first.

So the seller was scamming you by posting the weight as 3.11. What have you learned from this experience?

Its too bad its unknown how many are out there...it makes people want to search but at the same time may not have any out there to find.

Enjoy the hunt, I wouldnt mind searching them when I'm searching cents in general such as pocket change, bulk jars, and unsearched collections you might get access to. But otherwise I'd suggest just
avoiding those that have the weight listed already and are experienced seller, it makes no sense why they would not then take a single added step to verify a coin that could be worth a lot of money. The only exception is maybe someone like a wife selling a husband who died stuff type of situation imo, or grandpas unsearched jar of cents he put away 30 years ago or they found in an attic. Or a seller always lists weight of coin but does not seem experienced with errors/varieties at all. That is also possible where a coin shop/dealer doesn't have time or care to look for those and therefore can cherrypick those looked over.

I enjoy the hunt Datadragon, never know whats coming in the mail,999 times wrong but only need 1 right and buying 99 cents to 5 bucks basement bargain bin stuff I have found a few good ones but nothing huge but like I posted only buy if there is a return policy,no return policy you get what you buy and are stuck with it,you can literally buy a $1000 coin or more, get it home and look at it,if you don't find the rare one just send it back no harm done, money back.
