$100.00 for a Wide AM? Seems way high to me. And there are plating problems.

It is very high imo too. The plating is common with any of the newer memorials, but can be avoided easy enough.

The price would be more understandable if it were a 1999 Wide AM. What's that one worth--$40?

Hi there,

Let's see a 1999 (Close) can be worth 500.00 or more. (Mine approx. 400.00

Ah but, the 1998S (Close) well over $5000.

The advertised 1998 Wide would also have to register at least MS65 RED or better to get $135.00 in a bid, this according to PGCS Price Guide, anything less and it's not worth it. But, that's just my thoughts.

P.s. The guarantee does not cover the coins rating (i.e. MS65) this is a "raw" coin and a could come in lower than MS65 which would make it buyer beware - but that's the norm for this hobby.

I ran across the re-listing of that item yesterday.

The seller is hoping the misaligned die would add value to the coin...but I say no way.

Quite frankly, if I was looking for a good example of a Wide AM and I came across this coin, the misaligned die and split plating would make it worth less IMO
