WDDO-001 is a tough one to see if you don't know what to look for. There is no notching, at least that I can see, it's just thickness, towards the center of the coin. The easiest places to see it, in my opinion, is the date and the E of WE. I have marked up the listing beside Bent's example to see the difference. On WE, the thickness is moving north to south, look at the areas in between the horizontals of the E, that I have pointed at. You will notice there is less of the field showing on the doubleddie example and this will help you see the thickness in the horizontals. Bent's does not show this. You can also see the thickness in the hair in this pic of doubleddie's. Bent, yours is not a match for WDDO-001 but not sure what is going on with LIBERTY on yours, I cannot tell if it is lighting, MD or possibly a DDO but does not look like typical MD, so I'm not sure. May be worth sending in when folks are taking coins again.

Well we have a mystery here to solve, but I do agree with Makecents here, it does not match the WDDO from Wexler's.

I wanted to show the difference anyway for John1, in hopes that it would clarify where and how it was a doubled die. When you look at these areas again, do 1/4 turns with the coin, leaving the lighting the same. If it is a doubled die, it should show, no matter what direction the lighting is coming from, it may just show it better in certain directions. This will help you rule out doubling from lighting. It still fools me occasionally.

-makecents-, Thank you. I am aware of all 9 classes of doubled dies and have looked through my share of cents, coins.I have more than one plate coin on more than one reference site as well. In this case if there is a doubled die it is so minor that I just cannot see it. I have always had trouble finding extremely minor doubled dies. I have found hundreds of doubled dies during my hobby, so I do know what to look for.And just to be clear; Bentpennys' coin is not WDDO-001 as I stated. John1

Bent, nice job on the pics, a little close though. If you have anything going on here, I do not see it.
