Hi,

Hope these pictures work to give me your grades on this half dollar?

Thanks so much!

Kinda looks like it had a harsh cleaning at some point.

Around VF-30, pretty much a bullion coin.

Hi All,

Thanks for your thoughts. I think the pictures might make it look like it was cleaned, making it appear duller than it is? Here are a couple different pictures. Any change to the grade and does it still look cleaned? And, if it looks cleaned, can you tell me what you see to say that? I'm trying to learn to the signs to detect cleaning.

The 1st 2 I took with my phone. The 2nd 2 I took with a magnifier app on my phone.

Your second set of photos is much better. The coin looks original in them, upping my grade to EF-45

Personally, I think the top-most photos tell a more complete story. I'm good with VF35.

Thank you!

I'm glad those photos were better. It's hit and miss for me right now but I'm working on it.

Have a great day!

tough call on cleaning. that original obv photos shows a considerable amount of hairlines. the lighting and glare in the new photos may be masking them.

With the new pics I say not cleaned. Which set of pics shows the "true look" of the coin?

The 2nd set of pictures more accurately represent the coin in hand.
