From what I can discern, my 1965 silver quarter was minted between August 1965 and the switchover to 1966 dies. Ginger Rapsus's book mentions that switchover date to the 1966 dies if I remember right.

I always wanted one because 1965 is my birth year. Finally the dream came true.


Congratulations!!! It's a great symbol and representation of a tumultuous time at the mint and in the coin collecting hobby.

It should also get more interest as the years go by.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.
