What would caused this?
crack die?
cracked planchette?

My guess a cracked die.

Looks to me to be a planchet issue, not a die crack.

Looks like a lamination issue but clear full coin shots of the obverse and reverse would help.

Thanks all for the response. I looked on vamworld and I think its a 1921-S vam-15B. The coin is in poor shape
Still cool to find. Best Marker I could find.
