Cool coin weighs 5.26 grams and it is a clad with a smooth thick edge.

Sorry I forgot,the pictures make it look dark it is shiney just like any regular clad quarter.

Given the posted pics, I'm thinking rather harsh post-strike damage. Imagine the coin being caught under a heavy wooden pallet at a warehouse store, and being slid around on the 'smooth' concrete floor. I've seen this happen at a Costco--a forklift was moving/shoving wooden pallets around with merch on them . A heavily worn quarter popped out as the move was underway. The coin had been heavily abraded on the concrete.

Look at the front though,the letters near the rime are streached quite a bit from the strike.

yeah, I'd have to say PMD as well.. The weight should be 5.7g so with the loos of material, I think the current weight is spot on.
