I haven't picked up many Cap and Ray counterfeits as I like the portrait series more. But this one looked good and my winning bid ended up being reasonable in my opinion. 26.75 g, specific gravity of 8.8. I like the crude date.

These are of great interest for collecting and study and they are also especially featured in a couple very good books.
I have a small number in my collection and was lucky enough to get some help from some key names that know them very well and have even written about them.
Zs in my collection are 1830, 34 and 42

Thanks all for the replies! John1 - I didn't realize this was going to be my 100th post. I don't have much time to post so it will be a while before the next milestone, but I very much enjoy being a part of the community!

Albert - thanks for the response! Which books do you know of that discuss these? I didn't see too much discussion on counterfeits in Resplandores, and I know swamperbob is working on a book, but that's all I know of currently.
