It may not be possible to tell because this coin isn't in great shape, but can anyone tell me what kind of S this in and/or could that be a D showing below the S? This is one of the oldest (Modern US coins) I've found.

Think I juist answered my own question, Coinfrog. Don't think there's a ghost D on the highly magnified photo. The S? Just a serif the way it should be?

Appears to be mint mark style 4 (trumpet tail) but it is not the S over D
