I thought I just post this because the coloration was unique and just couldn't figure out how it would change his color plus have those unique markings on the reverse side

It's got that environmental toning going on. The reverse toned nicely.

Post-strike environmental issues, yes. May have spent some time in a poorly maintained fountain.

The reverse does kinda look like poutine.
Maybe a cupholder coin that was subject to some of the cheesy confection.
