New member from New Orleans and new to coin collecting. I have 6 2023 D NICKELS with this exact error. I have been told it's Strike Doubling. Question is this normal to find 6 with same error?

To my eye, that looks more like Die Deterioration Doubling on the surface of the die. That would definitely be repeatable. Can we see more of the affected devices? Just a few.

As to whether MD is repeatable, I can't say that for sure, but I see no reason why it couldn't be. These machines are hammering incredibly fast, and any tiny chatters or vibrations could be the same for every coin minted close together. But I will defer to the minting experts on that one.

to the CCF and MD. Some MD will occur on every coin that that machine produces, until that machine is readjusted back to specs. I've found over 500 with the same MD while going through a $50.00 bag of cents.
