All the details have been polished off making the coin shiny. Sets like these are put together with random coins over and over again over the years.

look at all the details on this coin in comparison.

That set was put together by a 3rd party and they just put what ever they could find into it to make the set.

to the CCF

You apparently do not appreciate the expert opinions you have been receiving ... but I'll add to the collection wisdom of the CCF folks -

Your coin is a well worn and a harshly cleaned example. It has zero numismatic premium.

Farmer2017...we are not trying to be harsh about your coin just what we are seeing. your coin has seen extensive circulation.

maybe this will help explain what we are seeing

the entire headband of gone as well as all the feather detail. the ribbon is completely flat and merged with the bottom hair curl. the beads around the breast are completely gone. if you look close at the fields you will quite a bit of scratches and marks. the overall look of the coin for one circulated this much does not match the bright surfaces you are seeing which means the coin was cleaned at some point in its life and polished. Nana may not have touched it however keep in mind the coin has been around for close to 120 years.

hope that helps...any future posts remove the coin from the holder and do not use any type of flash or overhead light, this tends to skew the surfaces

....Hello, farmer2017 & ...
...with all due respect, those coin sets were commonly sold for ages, marketed to people with little to no real knowledge of coin values ...
...Who of us doesn't love our nanas. but, sentiment can often cloud our better judgement.
...That coin would have been cleaned before it was put in it's holder, just to make it look better to the unsuspecting ... no coins of much value were used in those offerings.
...Most folks here are patient, & only trying to help by giving you honest evaluations, based on years of study & experience ...
...You can always disagree, but, as suggested, take the coin to a dealer & ask ... In this case, you're gonna get the same basic answer ...
...Please drop your frustration, keep posting, & don't get frustrated if you don't get the answers you wanted ... no one here is out to deceive or make you mad
... you'll get great help, as I have ...

.......MY TAKE ON FARMERS:>>>>>>>>>>>
...Sometimes, we need a doctor, sometimes we need a cop. Sometimes we need a fireman, sometimes we need a lawyer. Sometimes we need a coin expert, but, every day, EVERY DAY, we need a farmer! ...thanks & respect for what you do
