Periodic Login Problems - Coin Community Forum

rmpsrpms Pillar of the Community United States 3911 Posts	Posted 01/20/2024 10:57 am A while back I was unable to log in for several days. Then all of a sudden it worked, for no reason. I'd enter my information, press the button, and it would come back saying I successfully logged in, but then a couple seconds later would log me out and come back with the login information again. I tried logging in each day and evening, and after a few days it worked. It continued working for a while, maybe a month or two, then yesterday morning it all happened again and I was unable to log in all day yesterday. When I tried this morning, it worked again! And now I'm posting and asking if anyone else is having this issue. I'm running Firefox, but have not made any updates or other changes to my system to explain this issue. bobby131313 Forum Dad United States 23737 Posts	Posted 01/20/2024 11:27 am Unfortunately something must be rejecting the login cookie. A browser setting or recently added software, something. kbbpll Pillar of the Community United States 4233 Posts	Posted 01/20/2024 11:54 am I have Firefox set to delete cookies and site data upon exit. I have never had a problem logging in, and once I do, I'm logged in all day. All I can think of is under Tools / Settings / Privacy and Security / Cookies and Site Data / Manage Exceptions, you have https://www.coincommunity.com in there set to Block or Allow for Session. I can't explain why it would work for a while and then not, if you are not altering this setting. Report this Post to the Staff

At least it only lasted one day this time, unlike last time when it lasted for a week. jbuck Moderator United States 162839 Posts	Posted 01/21/2024 11:27 am If you have not tried, clear the cookies for CCF (click on the padlock in the address bar) and let it recreate them (you will be logged out). Sometimes a corrupted cookie will prevent updates, which to the site is the same as being blocked. It happens to me from time to time with various sites, even CCF once or twice way back.
