New to forum and looking for some information. I was given this $5 as change several years ago and put it into a box because it was different. The seals are not in the right spots. I came across it today and wondering what it may be worth? Thanks for any help you can give.

Nice-looking error. Steve in Tampa should be along shortly to comment on value. to the CCF!

Out of registration error. These rarely escape the BEP in this day and age. TPG and auction worthy! Tough note! Very nice! Congrats!

Nice find. An extremely unusual misaligned overprint. Most of these include misalignment of the serial numbers along with the seals. If it were mine, I would send it in for grading and authentication. Many of these are faked.

Thanks everyone for all the great information and advise. I'm going to look into getting it graded. (This bill may have started a new hobby for me.) I compared it to another 5 and it has all the right markings. I held them up to the light and all the invisible stuff is there too. I'm sure all this could be faked. It is a like new crisp bill with no creases and no folded corners. If it is real, what is a ball park value? Am I: A. Taking my wife out for a nice dinner, or B. Buying a new band saw for the shop, or C. Buying a used truck, or D. Buying a new truck.
Also, several of you refer to it as a "tough note". I assume this is good but could not find a meaning to be sure.
Thanks again.
