Fairly certain this desert beauty is Valentinian I but wanted to check in here since there is some overlap between Valentinian I, Valens, and Valentinian II. It looks a bit nicer in hand but it's hard to photograph these clearly.

I believe this is RIC IX Alexandria 3, officina B.

AE3 of Valentinian I - Alexandria mint

Obv: D N VALENTINI-ANVS P F AVG
Draped, cuirassed and diademed bust right

Rev: SECVRITAS REIPVBLICAE

Mint mark ALEB in ex.

Valens has a very different legend. Valentinian II didn't mint this type in Alexandria AFAICT.

Alexandria 2nd officina (B). Not sure offhand what the RIC number is; the AugustusCoins page for the type doesn't give the numbers.

I grabbed it for the nice desert patina and also because there are not many Alexandria mint issues for Valentinian. I think most of the valens have VALENS in the legend but with the whole "struck under the authority of" it can be confusing at times.
