I have a question about LCG holders.

I have a note (pictured below) graded Very Choice New 64 PPQ. Every note I've seen from them has the grade on the back as well but not this one. Does it mean anything or is it just an accidental omission by LCG?

I have included a different note showing the grade on the back as an example.

If it's important, why not just call them!

It's not important, I'm just curious.

I have seen a couple grading company typos and omissions in the past. A BCS graded note that had the serial number of the note wrong on the holder and a PMG with EPQ on the front but nothing on the back.

I assume it's a typo but I just wanted to see if anybody had seen anything like it from LCG.

Nice Note!
I would suspect it is just a typo. However, it might be worthwhile to get it corrected.
I think LGC is a fairly new grading company, and as such it might be difficult to find other collectors that have seen a an error such like this simply because of the lack of sample size. Just my opinion.

Q60driver, I'm not referring to the notes you posted, but
I saw too many notes with evidence of handling being overgraded in Legacy holders initially, that I actively avoided inspecting this TPG co. whenever they first appeared. When I first saw Legacy slabs listed on the CNC auctions I stopped tracking BoC notes & focussed on World. I have seen enough generous grades in PMG holders that it was a real turn off for me to see more certifications with dubious grades awarded. Once I bought the holder (not the note) & it was enough. I hope that Legacy have improved but I haven't really been monitoring their slabs like I used to.

So I can't really comment on whether this inconsistency is normal or not. I've seen quite a few incorrect PMG labels & I have had BCS flub a few holders I submitted & he corrected them free of charge. Hope that helps.

I agree. Always buy the note, not the holder. This 1937 $100 for example, is not a 64 IMO.

As for the holder, I think it's just a quality control issue. Grading probably becomes monotonous and things get missed in terms of grade determination and making sure the holder is correct.
