*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark to Title. It's very important to have in the title. ***

Hi Everyone! I'm new here and new to the Coin World. I came across this US quarter and I have spoken with an appraiser but I would like y'all opinion. Thanks for all the help!

@camp, first welcome to CCF. Second, that linear mark is a scratch not a mint error. Your coin is worth face value.

The mark is raised. Not indented. An appraiser said it is likely a wire mark from minting. But Thank you for looking at, maybe it's just a scratch.

To CCF! Better pictures would help. The picture is too dark. I'm thinking it could be a scratch, but better photos are needed.

Campbellcoins,

Your second pic is better but you need to crop the pic so all we see is the coin. Also, pic of reverse.

If you can, a clear close-up would help to identify it.
