Set has arrived! I see a lot of steps in my very quick scan. Chances are good the set is worth the price. Here's a money shot to get the juices flowin...

Those prewar coins are very sharp. Did you pull the 1942-D type 1? Would love to see that and the 1942 (P) type 1 in closer detail.

I am not sure yet how to go about this reveal as I will be merging, grading and cataloging two sets. I am thinking I will work my way from this sets1990 through to '38. After that I will switch directions and search mint sets (1965-2003) and the BU rolls (2004-present) to get the high choice/gem coins I'm looking for to match the overall set.

Thanks for highlighting one of my prior nickel search updates - I sure was serious on the quest and data keeping! Now you have taken that effort to the next level, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with in the MS set.

Working through the last page ('79-'90) of the ebay set and 11 out of 23 coins upgraded the Jeffersons I had from mint sets. My ugraded MS Set so far: 1979 d - 1990 d (23 coins) 13 choice BU 10 are choice+ BU 6 5FS 3 6FS Some highlight photos below. I know, need to take them out of the flips... lots of dust and a bit of glare. If anyone thinks any of these may be Gems please let me know and I will work on better photos for the grading forum. Thanx!!!

Most of these pics are too dark to see surface details clearly.

I'm seeing some potential FS coins in these photos, and earlier date coins at that.
But agree with Mr. Frog that the photos do not show the surfaces well enough to say for sure.

Appreciate you guys looking! As for the rest of the page from the ebay set,19/27 are upgrades to the coins I have that I pulled from mint sets. I haven't look closely at the SMS '65-'66 so we will have a discussion about those at a later time. 6 BU coins 17 Choice 1 Choice+ 4 5FS So with this page not as good with 5 BU still left to upgrade. These years seem to be difficult to find quality coins.

The '87-P comes closest to be gradable but probably falls just a little short. While it is tough in MS-66 and MS-67 it just isn't tough enough to attract the interest of the twenty or thirty people who want a high grade '87-P. It appears to be a solid MS-66 though.

Thanx Cladking! Finishing up on the third page ('49-'64) 18/35 upgraded the set I am working on: 3 BU 20 Choice 11 Choice+ 6 5FS Below is a link to the grading forum where I posted a 1955 D that is a possible 5FS. I am thinking I am going to take a chance and send the '55d, 56d, & 49s into NGC. They do not meet my standards so I didn't count them in the above 6 - 5FS. It's a long shot I'll get a decent grade or 5FS but the prices for these might be worth the risk. What do you all think? Sorry, not the most flattering pics. Link to the 55d in the grading forum: http://goccf.com/t/459786 I got some new packages! Gonna start looking for some more upgrades on ebay and at my LCD this week too. Don't you just love new 'old' stock!
